Children muffled in our winter school in Kunduz
IN AFGVox Infantis Kunduz Winter school – January 2015
In our winter school in Kunduz, there is no heating. We heat only 5 rooms, each equipped with a wood stove. Wood costs us $ 400, – per month. And still it is relatively cold. This is why children keep their warm jacket as you can see on the pictures.
As everywhere in Afghanistan, the windows were covered with plastic to better keep the heat inside.
The electricity that comes from Tajikistan often breaks down and we have to buy 100 liters of gasoline per month to run the generator.
But children are happy to come to school. Have a look.
