Kunduz – back to school again!
IN AFGSince this year, our school is recognized as a primary AND secondary school. We therefore started the 7th degree courses in March with the 13 students who took the 6th degree exams last December.
The 7th grade subjects are those of official secondary schools and include topics such as:
– defend human rights, civil education, live in community, help others
– importance of agriculture, planting, sowing, cultivation
– importance of water, soil and earth
We admitted 18 children in the 1st degree, 10 girls and 8 boys aged 6 to 8 years.
We have hired 2 additional teachers paid by local donations. They were already teaching at our winter school. My partner Zabi Majidi is negotiating with the Ministry of Education to pay these 2 teachers. We will see.
The Ministry of Education donated the textbooks, and Zabi’s friends donated notebooks, pencils, etc. to the 140 children who attended our school. All children receive hot breakfast and lunch.
School starts from 8:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. for the 6 primary classes and at 12:45 p.m. for the 7th class.
Our students are happy to learn again and to receive great food, thanks to all of you, our supporters.
Hopefully the rest of the remaining school year until mid December will run smoothly!
