IN AFGDuring the three months of winter vacation for Afghan children, our school welcomed 380 students, in turn, between 9 and 12pm.
There were 182 boys and 198 girls between 6 and 18 years. 23 were our regular students and 357 others attend other schools, but they were happy to attend our courses. Six professors taught:
- Computer
- Maths
- Dari (the Afghan Regional Persian)
Pashto (the second national language in Afghanistan) - English
- Religion
The director, a house employee and 2 watchmen (one for the day, one for the night) completed the total staff of 10 people.
We bought 3 tons of coal and 3 tons of dry wood to heat the classrooms. Still, the children kept their anoraks, because it was nevertheless cold.
For 100 children arriving in the morning at 9am. we offered breakfast (milk and bread).
On March 27, the primary school has re-opened. The next blog is coming soon.
