Zabi comforting the orphans in Vox Infantis Kunduz school
IN AFGHere is what our wonderful partner Zabi Majidi in Kunduz posted when he talked with the kids in our primary school for poor children in Kunduz, Afghanistan:
Khooshi and Zindagi are cousins. Unfortunately they lost both their father during Kunduz conflicts.
Khooshi is 8 and Zindagi is 6 years old. Now they are being taken care of by Vox Infantis KDZ.
They say that they are trying to become a teacher and a doctor to be able to serve other orphans.
Their fathers were handsellers at Kunduz square (Chawk E Kunduz) and got killed by a magnetic mine.
Today I caressed them and asked them “what can we buy for you, what do you need?”
They got sad and cried. Even though I waited a long time for their response, they didn’t replied.
I understood from thier crying that they want the thing that nobody except God can give them – their fathers back.
Damn the war that has taken so many fathers from their children like Zindagi and Khooshi and disabled thousands of others.”
